Pete talks about UFO LIVE
The live album from Tokyo was the result of having "Prince Kajuku" from FLYING, as a hit, along with "Cmon Everybody." Rolling Stone Magazine said our version of "C'mon Everybody" was better then the original! How was that possible?
We
played for around 20,000 people when we recorded the album. My
fingers really got split up and stuff. We didn't play as long as we should
have. We got in big trouble over that. We didn't get paid as much as we should've,
as well. But, I guess it was unique at that time. It was just a few people,
who were 19, playing for a whole bunch of people. We were out there by the
skin of our teeth, playing noisy rock n roll.
It was real. Real real real.
