Pete talks about Phenomenon

Michael had joined a year before the recording. Because of our success in Europe, Chrysalis Records said "ok, they can sell records, so we'll do it [sign the band]." Phenomenon actually wasnt a particularly big seller, initially. We went to America with it, it wasn't initially a big seller. What happened was, people saw the band live, and because of all the time [practicing and playing], which actually goes back to the days when we were 18 or 19, we were really good.

We toured with everybody from Jethro Tull, Steppenwolf, Blue Oyster Cult, The Faces, Kiss, etc.
